- I am 47 years old, happily married, a mom to a 24 year old daughter, a 25 year old step-daughter, and a 7 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog named Boomer. I've been road running for several years. In 2006, I was lucky enough to reconnect with someone from my past, an avid trail runner, (Dirt Diva). Because of this, trail running has become my new passion. I completed my first ultra-marathon in September, 2008. Even though my favorite activity is trail running with Boomer, I have recently taken up swimming and cycling too. My first triathlon was completed in September, 2009. So far in 2011, I've completed two 100-mile bike rides along with one adventure race. What's next? We'll just have to see.

That dog is so darn cute. I was just talking to my sister last night on how much I miss the family dog - Eddy. Wish she could put him on the plane too when she comes out to visit me on the 26th.

About the camera. You know I use cheap Nikon Coolpix cameras. I buy them off discount stores on the net like JR.com. I'm rough on my cameras with all the training and racing and I go through about one a year. At a $110 a pop it's like a buying a pair of shoes. These days however, since I've focused on racing more, I hardly take them on the run with me except in training. They take good pictures. The other thing is that I have software that lets me adjust the contrast of my pictures. That's mostly why my pictures looks so sharp. I also take lots and lots of pics and just throw away the ones that don't look so good. Hope that helps.
Oh, Boomer loves his momma,can't even look at the camera. Merry Christmas, hope Santa brought you some fun stuff!
