Single Track Therapy

Meadow at the main entrance of Garin

The best way to get out of a funk is some single track therapy. That's exactly what Boomer and I did this morning. It was drizzling and it was cold. But the good thing about single track is it's usually covered by trees so at least we were protected a little bit.

We went on my favorite loop that's a little over three miles. As we started going up the High Ridge Loop, I told myself I was going to run, not walk. I didn't care how slow I had to run but I was not going to walk any of it. If I stopped running, I had to stand still until I was ready to run again. If I stood still, I was going to get wet. If I kept running, I could get out of the rain quicker. Hey, it worked! Especially when Boomer would stand there waiting for me and he would start rubbing his face with his paw because he was getting rain drops on his face. Yup, it's pretty darn cute (pitiful).

I will have to find this Garin trail/reserve it looks beautiful.

Lucy would be the same way except getting her feet wet makes her VERY unhappy. Such a little priss, my dog!

Unfortunately, STTS (Apr 26) is on the same day as Big Sur and I already registered for that. I will definitely do it again when they have it (hopefully Sept again) it was a great experience!
