Fun in Sunol

Boomer and I went out to Sunol Regional Wilderness Park today for a five mile hike. It's been a couple of months since we were there and it is clearly one of his favorite places.
Yippeeeeee

There is quite a bit of very nice single track in Sunol. I let Boomer lead today and he took me to all of my favorite trails in the park.

We had to stop at every single drainage pipe so he could check for bunnies. I stopped to torture him with picture taking and talking to all the cows and admiring the views. When all was said and done, we ended up spending a couple of hours out in the dirt. It was a great day! Boomer was a little tired when we were done. But, I know a tired dog is a happy dog! Especially true in his case.

I'm doing a 21k tomorrow, here: Pacifica (Jan 17) That's why I didn't actually run today. Christy and Victoria are going to do the same distance as me. I always have one goal and that is to not be DFL. I'll let you know how it goes.

Until later.............

Gotta love a happy dog, with his ears flapping in the wind!

I did Pacifica last year and it turned me into a trail runner. It is absolutely gorgeous! The first climb is a bitch but after that is it wonderful! I have the first organized bike ride with the Cinderella group tomorrow or I would be out there for sure!

I've run the (30K) course in the summer of '07 and fractured my femur during the second loop. I do remember that first climb, it is a doozy.

I remember the 2nd climb being a bit more of a pain, but tomorrow will be fun either way! See you there!

It's too late for good luck. I hope it went well today!!! When I die, I want to be reincarnated as Boomers next in line cousin, OK?

Hey Steve - I know how spoiled I am, believe me! LOL
Hi Penny - Yes, Wendell & Sarah live right here in the Bay Area so the majority of their runs are up here. Not fair for you, I know.
Ha Ha Missy! I have to agree with you though - he has quite the life, doesn't he? He makes me just as happy as I make him though.
