- I am 47 years old, happily married, a mom to a 24 year old daughter, a 25 year old step-daughter, and a 7 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog named Boomer. I've been road running for several years. In 2006, I was lucky enough to reconnect with someone from my past, an avid trail runner, (Dirt Diva). Because of this, trail running has become my new passion. I completed my first ultra-marathon in September, 2008. Even though my favorite activity is trail running with Boomer, I have recently taken up swimming and cycling too. My first triathlon was completed in September, 2009. So far in 2011, I've completed two 100-mile bike rides along with one adventure race. What's next? We'll just have to see.

Yeahaaa! I was on my bike today and we rode to Tiburon. I had looked over towards Angel Island as you were running. Congrats!

As I sit here and look at this picture, I start to wonder to myself why it was that I didn't panic when I saw you laying there. Maybe if you were laying in a crumpled heap or in a position that was not so perfectly spread out on the pavement, I would have jolted back to you. But were you saying something out loud and you sounded okay, so that's why I just started laughing (with you, not at you) and took a picture? Either way, I'm glad you got up and finished the race!
