Hump day hill work

If you ever have to do hill work, Mission Peak is a great venue! This is yet one more place that is less than 20 minutes from my front door. Boomer was a bit slower today than usual, this being the third straight day I have taken him out to a park to run around in the mountains. Everybody now, "Poor Boomer....."

I am registered to do a marathon in 2.5 weeks with this Elevation. Yes, that reads 7,950 feet. Do you think I'm scared? That would be an understatement!!!! I have no doubt I can do it, I just hope I can do it in A DAY. Thank God there is also a 50-mile event being held and they have a 15 hour time limit so I know the RD's will be around for that long. LOL
Until later.............

Not that I don't respect the profile, I do, but you know I live up at 5200 ft and you don't even get up that high in that run. Seriously - be happy that your run is in an oxygen rich environment the whole time! :-)

You are funny! You'll do just great. Hey, do they allow dogs at the marathon? Maybe Boomer can lead you. He must be a good hill runner.

Ok...first of all thanks so much for the "barkday" greetings from Boomer to Velcro!!! Very sweet!!! She gort a t-shirt and a dog cake from her petsitter!

I'd love to come and cheer you on at Mt Diablo...but that weekend I'll be in Escondido at the Australian Cattle dog sheep herding trials!! But what is the next one you're running?? Maybe I'll come and run one after Diablo!!!

Shit...must go back to work.. Yes it's almost midnight and I'm still working! I'll be here until about 2am!! Fun times!!

OMG, how lucky to live in such a gorgeous location!! I can't imagine doing a marathon at that elevation. I thought I was last when I did the Chicago Marathon in 2006 and 2007, (it took me almost 7 hours!) but turns out 1,500 people finished after me! Good luck on your event!!
