284 pounds

That's how much my legs weighed today!

Boomer and I went to Garin and I was able to do a six-miler but I suffered. I felt like I was having trouble lifting each foot, each step. UGH! Such a strange thing, the body is. Not a lot to say about the run but as usual, the scenery couldn't be beat.

We were treated by these deer running in front of us.

I'm signed up to run 30k here Saturday: Pirates Cove (Mar 21)
I'm super excited about it because I have never been there and it looks stunning. I am going to be so distracted by the views of the ocean and San Francisco, I'm sure. I certainly hope my legs lighten up before then.

You are going to rock pirate's cove! You run on trails so much it will be easy for you! I just wish Boomer could join you!

I love your pictures! You can never take enough pics!!

I want to know how the 30K is since I'll be tackling my first 18k on a trail and kinda freaking out about it! Do you walk some of the PCTR trails???

You and Penny with all this trail talk are killing me. Once mud season is over here, I've got to try it!

Uh, HELL ya I walk (hike) some of the trails at PCTR events. If the hill is too steep, I will for sure. I try to just keep moving as fast as I possibly can without passing out. LOL

My training grounds encompass the trails that is used by the Pirates Cove race. It would be great to have some company and competition this Saturday, I can't wait. You'll love it. Great views of San Francisco, Sausalito, Muir Beach and the coast. The coastal trail between Muir Beach and Tennessee Valley is one of my all time favorites. I have pictures which I will put up on my next post. See you Saturday.

With the beautiful scenery on and around the trails you run, you'll probably go out and do it even with one good leg.

Have an injury free and fun filled 30k run on Saturday.

Nice pictures! I hate hte lead leg feeling, but I guess we wouldn't know good runs if we didn't have bad runs.

I have wanted to do Pirates Cove, but I am climbing Mt. Hamilton with my cycling group on Sunday so I better not. I will be looking forward to your report!

Beautiful pictures. What a great place to run! Good luck on your run this weekend! I'll be thinking of you and sending good luck and healthy wishes your way!

Also, to answer your question about the hummus, I found it at Giant. It is just a large grocery store chain here on the east coast. I am sure you could find them at any large grocery or health food store. The Indian flavored one is so good!
