This is Heavenly Valley Ski Resort across Lake Tahoe, on the south shore.
About the driving -- Keith drove up, I slept. I offered to drive home and sorry to say, Keith let me. Driving into Roseville, a California Highway Patrol pulled me over. Here's the conversation that took place:Officer: I pulled you over for your speed.
Me: Oh, what was it?
Officer: 81 (in a 65)
Me: Was it just me? I wasn't passing anybody, was I?
Officer: Do you have your license and registration?
Me: Yes I do! (hands DL to officer)
Officer: So, where are you comi....... WHOA! Is this you?
Me: Yes sir, it is. (laughing)
Officer looks at the license, looks at me. Shows it to his "ride along dude." Looks back at me.
Officer: Ma'am, can you please take off your sunglasses so I can verify this is YOU?
Me: Suuuuuuuure I can.
Bad news? He wrote me a citation for speeding.
Good news? I will definitely be getting a new driver's license photo this May.

What kind of camera do you use to take all your pictures? Do you carry it with you on every run? I love the pictures you take on the trail. I stopped to take one for you this morning to show you how flat it is where I run compared to the beautiful places you run.

Hey Jill - I run with the Sony Cybershot. It fits perfect in the front pocket of my hydration pack. I'm glad you enjoy my pics - I love showing off my "neck of the woods". ;)

Beautiful pics of south lake tahoe. I skied heavenly once-when I skied...but haven't been up there since-it really is gorgeous!!

Bummer you aren't on facebook...it's my blackberry addiction at work! I'm sitting on my arse right now waiting for them to finish lighting so we can shoot a football play that turns into a dance! An odd show I'm working on!! I'll be here late tonight!!
I'm so jealous of your trail runs lately!! I can't wait to hear about Pirates Cove-it looks stunning and I registered for the Sycamore Canyon 18k at the end of the month. I hope I'm not to burned out for it!!
