Seriously, what month is this?

This is how Garin looked this morning. Looks like fall, doesn't it?

The blackberries are ripe and delicious right now. Loren, Jana and I were eating them right off the bush.

Today is my husband's birthday. Sara, Sterling, Loren and I took him out to dinner tonight. His restaurant of choice was Texas Roadhouse. There was no way I was going to cook pork ribs at home and that's what he wanted.

Cake, on the other hand......

I had no problem making that for him. ;)

I had an appointment with Floyd this afternoon. Range of motion in my ankle continues to improve. I admitted to him that I had not made time to do my exercises that he gave me last week and I canceled my appointment I have for Wednesday of this week. No reason to keep giving me more exercises to do when I'm not doing the ones he already gave me, right? I will see him again next Monday. He massaged, stretched and massaged some more and then gave me one more exercise to do before he began the torture again. GAH! I really don't like the electrocution with the ice cold water circulating around my foot treatment. It's extremely uncomfortable. But, you have to believe me when I say this is NOT the reason I am not going back in two days.

I swam 1800 yards yesterday morning. Ten minutes faster than I did on Thursday. So far, I like it. Tomorrow is Pilates and swimming. Again, I find myself looking forward to it. Who knew?

Until later.............

Just catching up. With the MRI results, this will open new opportunities that may otherwise go unnoticed....good for you to be swimming and golfing and yes, running. Good for you!!

Great that you are being open with your PT--that's the most important thing for optimal treatment. As you continue to get normal range and strengthen/stabilize both the ankle AND the knee you should have markedly fewer activities that cause any discomfort at all...50k here she comes! Speaking of which, I am glad that you are keep ing your header pic, but I neglected to say before that I agree with Rick G. that the one Theresa took of you lying on the pavement at your last 50K is a fabulous pic and deserves a place on the front page. Perhaps put it off to the side as a smaller sub-header pic with a caption like "Died and went to heaven doing a 50K" !!! :).
Keep the spirit! Ann

Happy b-day to your hubby! You are so darn adorable that i will even forgive you for being a MUCH faster swimmer than me in three f-ing attempts!

Wasn't enough you were cuter, thinner, and a faster runner?

Sheesh.

Happy Birthday to your husband!

That cupcake(?) looks delicious! I adore cake...

I'm always amazed with PT. They do things that are really uncomfortable and so unnatural, but you actually benefit from it -- It's that way for me, anyway. I hope it's that way for you.

The swimming sound fantastic.

Happy Birthday to Husband!!

I didn't like electotherapy whatever that is either...and asked them not to do it anymore. Maybe that's an option...
